Visual recognition: Seeing the world through the eyes of rodents

Until recently, only primates were deemed able to perform such complex operations as object recognition. A new study shows that rodents also use advanced and diversified recognition strategies, confirming the validity of this animal model for studying object vision and offering new opportunities for the development of artificial vision systems and diagnostic approaches.
